Congratulations to Superintendent Van Bugg and his operating staff on receiving the 2014 Operational Excellence Award from the KY/TN Water Environment Authority for exceptional operation of Nicholasville's Jessamine Creek Environmental Control Facility wastewater treatment plant. This is the eighth time the staff has won this award.
Morey Lampson, CDP's Director of Water & Wastewater, was instrumental in the design and construction of this facility in 1996 as well as the expansion in 2006. This facility was the first in Kentucky to utilize lime pasteurization to treat sludge and produce Class A biosolids. The product is used by local farmers as a fertilizer and soil amendment.
