Description

This athletic facility improvement project was the third by CDP for the Fayette County Public School system.  The attempt is to provide safe, state of the art facilities while maximizing the facilities potential lifespan.  The improvements required a complete stadium replacement consisting of a: multi-use artificial turf athletic field, a 400 meter broken-back track, newly designed architectural stadium seating, a restrooms/concessions building and a parking lot. This new layout required the implementation of ADA accessible routes from the school/parking lot to the athletic facility.  The size of the site created a challenge in providing a desired facility that was consistent with the standards set forth in the design of the previously designed and built facilities. The overall design accommodates many users, allowing for better circulation while functioning as one unique facility.
