Ed Sidebotham brings with him over 32 years of engineering related design and drafting experience to CDP. Ed's drafting and surveying experience began in high school and from there he enhanced these skills by dedicating years of service at two local engineering companies, first as a draftsman and then as a project manager. Ed later learned to draft with AutoCAD and Micro Station CADD systems while working and furthering his education.
Mr. Sidebotham joined CDP with the desire to get back into the engineering field and utilize his past experience and drafting skills. Ed is responsible for coordinating and completing development of engineering design based drawings; from the conceptual phase, to permit drawings and finally to the transition into construction documents and drawings for the project. He has worked on a large spectrum of projects over the years, with a primary focus on projects related to site development, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems and other utility related projects. Ed’s work experience also includes assisting in survey related duties and extensive experience in performing construction field inspection on numerous projects.
Ed lives in Lexington, Kentucky with his wife Tina of 34 years and they have three children, Danielle, Chelsea and Brennon. In their free time the family enjoys the “great outdoors” while camping, hiking and kayaking.
