Ron Householder serves as Senior GIS Consultant and manager of the CDP/MapSync Solutions Service Team. He brings 37 years of experience in the Land Surveying and GIS disciplines to bear upon providing practical solutions to the challenges inherent to integrating geospatial management and engineering/surveying operations. Ron’s unique background positions CDP for future growth in GIS, GPS and asset management.
Ron attended the University of Kentucky and holds licenses and certifications as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), GIS Professional (GISP) and Floodplain Manager (CFM). He is active in a number of professional organizations having served as President of both the Indiana-Kentucky-Ohio Geospatial Information Association (IKO/GITA) and the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP). He currently serves on the KAMP Mapping Sciences committee and the Commercial Mobile Radio System’s (CMRS) Next Generation 911 GIS Working Group.
Since 1994, Ron has integrated surveying, engineering and GIS to create sustainable, workflow oriented products and services for communities, institutions and utilities. He has a detailed knowledge and understanding of new technologies (cloud and mobile-based applications) and how they can be applied to provide functional and sustainable solutions. Over the past 25 years, as many innovations and technological advancements have occurred in every aspect of our personal and professional lives, Ron has been at the forefront in the integration of new technologies and services into the solution of real-world problems.
Ron lives in historic downtown Lexington, Kentucky with his wife, Reda Smith, and cultivates orchids as a hobby.
